    "Cavaliers and Pioneers" by Nell M. Nugent says Lewis Burwell and Thoma Vause were given 2,300 acres April 18, 1648 for bringing 46 people. One of them was William Bradshaw.

    William Bradshaw was listed as one of the headrights (head of household) in Kingswell Colony, a 2,300 acre tract of land that was located on the south side of the York River in Virginia.

    "Cavaliers and Pioneers" by Nell M. Nugent says that Theodore Moses transported 40 people to the new colony and Henry Bradshaw was one of them. Moses received 2,000 acres of land in James City County on May 23, 1637 in payment.

    William married Anne 1660, England. Anne (daughter of William Henry Bradshaw and Nancy Susong) was born 1640. [Group Sheet]

    It is said that at least ten thousand Virginians have taken up their residence in Washington since the close of the war; of this number Fredericksburg has furnished her full share, and there was seldom a day during our residence in Washington that we were not greeted by some former resident of the old 'Burg.

    ......in the railway postal service may be found John P. Mansfield, of the county, young Tom Wallace, of Stafford, and Thatcher Bradshaw.

    Thatcher died at his home in Brentsville, Va.
