Murray grew up in Brentsville, Virginia. He went to college at Virginia Polytechnic Institute of Virginia. After college he married Esther Warren Pattie and they moved to Rockville, Maryland where they opened a Western Auto Associate Store.

He was drafted into the army during WWII and served with the 2nd.Army div. (Indians), Co. D, 38th Infantry. The medals he received were:

Good Conduct Medal

European, African, Middle Eastern Service Ribbon

American Theater Service Ribbon

World War II Victory Ribbon

While he was in the service, his wife ran the store in Rockville. Eventually, he opened another store in Gaithersburg, Md.

His wife predeceased him.

When he died, his children sold out his remaining store in Gaithersburg.

He was a Western Auto dealer for more than 40 years

Murray married Esther Warren Pattie 27 Mar 1937, Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland. Esther (daughter of Lewis Pattie and Ann Hynson) was born 8 Jun 1914, Manasas, Prince William County, Virginia; died 29 Dec 1951, Washington, District of Columbia; was buried , Manasas Cemetary, Prince William County, Virginia. Will of Kenrick M. Bradshaw:

I, Kenrick M. BRADSHAW, Senior of Brentsville, Virginia being in full control of my mental faculties do hereby make this my final will and testament.

After all my just debts have been paid I wish to make the following disposition of my property.

I hereby will my share of the real estate, including the dwelling and the land connected therewith at Brentsville, Virginia to my son, Bolivar N. BRADSHAW.

I leave to my sons, Murray W. BRADSHAW, Kenrick M. BRADSHAW, Junior and my daughter, Virginia E. SPENCER all monies in banks to be divided equally between the aforementioned parties.
