    • Know All Men, that we, Henry W Meador and Allen Meador of the County of Sumner and the State of Tennessee, are held and firmly bound unto the Governor of the said State, for the time being, of his successor in office, in the penal sum of twelve hundred and fifty dollars, to be void on the condition that there be no lawful objection why Henry W Meador and Talitha Meador may not be joined together as husband and wife in the holy state of matrimony. Witness our hands and seals this 21st day of August AD 1848

By virture of the full power and authority , in me vested, I do hereby authorize and empower you or any of you to celebrate and perform the rights of matrimony between Henry W Meador and Talitha Meador and join them together as Husband and Wife - he having given security according to law.
